Hey kat, so sorry to hear of your troubles -- been there done that!!  Based 
on my recent sad experience, I would highly recommend an ultrasound (if you 
haven't already done that).  Takes all the guess work out of the process, and 
since I'm terminally curious, eased my mind quite a bit to see EXACTLY what 
was going on in there.  We're two months into the "lay-up" process and due 
for a second ultrasound any day now.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that 
he's healing well.  There is hope after tendon injury and Marci Cunningham's 
recent success with a horse who had very severe injuries gives me hope (you 
go girl!).   Good luck!!
