Sore tendon

A neighbor of mine, computer deprived, asked me to post this information
and question

He has an endurance horse that has about 1000 miles on it and is sound on
the
straightaway and in circles. Maybe slightly uncomfortable on the counter
clockwise.
Not even off, but shows a definate preference for the clockwise
direction. Kindof of like
right and left handed. Anyway, this gelding has a sore left front tendon.
The only reason
Rob found this out was because he was stretching out the front leg, as
part of the pre
ride stretch, and squeezed on it. Got a pull response. Tried again and it
was definate.
There is not this reaction on the other side. There is no swelling on
this leg nor any
heat or lameness. This horse is regularly chiropracted and no problem has
been found
in this aspect. Now the questions ...

1. Where could this be coming from? Back is not sore . The horse gets
monthly Adequan injections.
He was injected one about 9 months ago for hock arthritis
2. What sort of plan of action should he take? Linament? Rest? Sand
walking? Ultrasound? He'd like to keep
up with some competition if possible.

Thanks so much for your help. This is a riding buddy and I don't want to
lose him.

Kris
