FEI Youth European Championship

Hi group,

maybe you are interested in some results of the FEI Youth European
Championship held last weekend here in Donaueschingen, Germany.
There are more than 70 horses from 15 countries at the start. Among them
there was one rider from South Africa, two riders from Brasil as well as
four riders of the UAE (these are the three sons of HH Sheik Maktoum and
another rider). The race was over a total distance of 120 km (75 miles).
Surprising for all the Spanish team finished very well with three horses
in front. Unfortunately the winner, Miguel Casas with Taymur, got pulled
at the final inspection because of lameness. So Merce Oms Molist with
Polvorillo won that championship with a total riding time of 6 hours and
39 minutes (the speed was 18 km/h) followed by Marta Pujadas with Troika
sic minutes behind. Marta also got the Best Condition. At the third
place Claire Lux with Datila from France finished one minute behind
Marta. Then one of the Brasil riders, Pedro Marino with Jadwal de
Payral, finished 4 seconds behind followed by another french rider,
Kleri Lefevre with Ellios d'Elb. Only then there are the UAE riders HE
Sheik Maktoum and HE Sheik Rashid, both participating in last years WEC
in Dubai.
