Sorry, but what happened to teaching basic ground manners at home.  When I 
got into this sport, I was advised by everyone to include in my daily routine 
the things that would happen at vet checks, so my horse wasn't surprised.

It was valuable advice and I thank those who gave it to me.  Why should the 
volunteers and vets be subjected to a horse that has horrible manners?  If 
the owner of the horse wishes to risk injury, more power to them.

I imagine this will all change when some volunteer or vet sues an owner of an 
ill mannered horse <G>.
