Kickers/CTR penalties

Stagg Newman still chastises me for giving him a couple penalty points for
his horse not only resisting all attempts to examine it but also kicking me
(This was many years ago)- it cost him a championship. However! He never
again presented me  or anyone else that I am aware of with a horse that was
a danger! When my mare kicks out (even though at rides she has not
connected) when vet  gets a little too enthusiastic about palpating her
sore buttocks after a ride, I EXPECT to be penalized (it's happened twice
at a ride-docked once, not the other time). If she's that sore-it's my
fault for poor riding/conditioning! So, Dr. Newell-I say penalize away! :-)
(Now lets's see how many rides I am asked to judge-hee, hee-that's one way
to make more time for riding!)
