Re: RC: ortho-flex fitting question

We have had several OF saddles one of which was purchased in 1987 and
they've been used on quite a few different horses. We now own 3 Paso
Finos and they have short backs. We found the first saddle a 1987
traditional did not fit the Pasos as the panels were too long. The
other western model (Brazos) fits two of the Pasos and the two remaining
models, a Patriot and a Paso Pleasure, fit all 3 horses. If your horse
has a short back you may have to go to the new, shorter panels. If you
decide to do that be sure to request shorter panels because I was told
that all the new system panels are not necessarily shorter! But I would
try to shim the saddle first, We had pretty good luck doing that on
several Arabs we used to have. By the way the western saddle- OF Brazos
is for sale if anyone is
interested.
