Calluses from bad saddle fit
Unfortunately  I used a saddle on my horse for a year that was too wide
for him.  The saddle scrubbed back and forth on his loins no matter what
kind and type of padding and shims that I used.  He has  about five hard
calluses that range in size of a dime to   BB size.  These are quite
hard and about a quarter of an inch thick.  These spots are all on the
right side of his back  just under the back bar of the saddle.  I now
have a saddle that fits but he is still sore under these spots.  Any
idea how to get rid of them?  He has been injected with cortisone twice
by the vet.  Currently I am rubbing in cortisone creme topically  once
or twice a day.
