Yep--Rio is 3/4 CMK and 1/4 Egyptian--the CMK part reads like a wonderland of
endurance ancestors, primarily *Raseyn and *Raffles breeding, with a line to
Farana and a Davenport tail female line.  Cash (Pieraz) is pretty mixed, but
with some of the stronger modern Polish lines on top that go back to Ofir and
the Crabbet horse Naseem (Abu Farwa's grandsire, who was exported from England
to Poland), a dash of Egyptian, and some good CMK lines on the bottom (again,
*Raseyn, etc.)--his tail female line is through one of the Patton Polish mares
that came to this country with *Witez II.  (Oh, yeah, he also has *Witez II in
the bottom quarter of his pedigree.)  So--no real surprises...
