you all are scaring me again.  Damn if some of you just might kill off the 
sport I love more than anything.  The only ones perfect in this sport are the 
horses.  The people are just along for the ride.  Of course there are some 
bad horseman.   Of course there are some bad owners.  There are alot of bad 
people out there; no matter where you go.

You can't save all the horses and you can't save all the bad people from 
themselves and the others they hurt.  I'm with Angie, although I don't think 
flogging the jerks is the answer.  I think shunning is the best way.  And 
maybe a few other sneaky things at ridecamp like hiding their saddle or horse 
right before they wake up.  We need to take care of this kinda thing 
ourselves.  The last thing I want to see at the rides is some kind of 
policeman.  Next thing you'll know he'll try and take away my beer.

btw, riding in extreme heat is scarey and I won't do it.  Don't be so 
consumed with your entry fee that you can't back out of a ride if it's in the 
best interest of the horse.
