That the horses be properly cared for and not abused is the whole point of the
AERC drug policy.  It is much to the AERC's credit that it has never gone down
the road of "approved" drugs for competition.

Proper preparation for the stress of competition is conditioning, training, and
good nutrition, not drugs.
