Just returned from the VT 100.
Didn't stay for awards so don't know BC but 5 of 18 starters finished in
the 100.  Lucy Snook was first and Stag Newman 2nd.
11 of 18 finished in the 50 and Sue Greenall was 1st.

Yes, it was hot and several horses were treated for metabolic problems.

The concurrent marathon run was also tough on the participants.  Over 100
of the 250 starters didn't finish.  A record high non finishers.

The first runner came across at 9 PM (17 hours on course) and the first
horse at 9:45 PM (16.45 hours on course including holds)   Last horse in
at 4 AM one hour before cutoff.
