Karahty foals

Hi: I have one (Karahty offspring) born on her daddy's same birth day a
three year old+. She is a real quick learner also, if I wish her to learn
something new, as her first real bath with a hose, I just had to bring over
her adopted dad my Grey(trooper) or her dam(April) and let her (Ankara-A
beautiful Red-Head with flaxen main and tail coming as well as being taller
than her mom. ) watch and all is well. An excellent way to teach by example
and demonstration. She is a joy to have and raise, again thanks to
April&Karahty, Dolly&Bill, Kay&Larry. steven

 Hi Joane

RELAX!! My injury happened at work teaching L.H. kids, and the disc in
my back went out at a meeting when I reached down too quickly for my
pen!) It then got worse from the "tilt" position teachers sit in
helping little kids, and two more kind of collapsed from wear over 30
years I guess. Anyway, for the past 5 years I have not done hardly any
riding, and it's killing me. I miss it so much. I still raise
endurance horse and Connemara Ponies, but I really want to RIDE!! SO--I
guess the moral of this story is tell your husband you can't WORK!!

My Karahty babies that are in Utah with Scott Powell(do you know him>)
are both quite tall. The five year old is out of a purebred l5.2 hand
mare and is almost l6 hands. Scott bought her full weanling sister with
her, and she was a very tall baby. I have another mare out of my l4.l
Arab endurance mare who is only about l4.2, and another out of a l4.2
mare is l5 hands. So--although the mare has something to do with it,
all but the one mare got a taller baby than she was. YOURS should be a
giant!! But what I loved was that not only were they large, but also
elegant and good tempered.
Let me know what you get also.

Hi,
It has been warm here in Utah also. We have country similar to Colorado's
here so if you ever get this way, let me know. I also hate to ask: Why are
you on the mend? My husband, the non horsey person, is so quick to remind
me that "thoses horses bite and kick and buck"--you'll get hurt!
What size are your Karahty offspring? CC is 16hh--the anglo side. I ride
big horses and partially selected Karahty because of his size.
Thanks, Joane
Hi Joane,
Someday I would love to ride in Colorado and get out of "sunny
California", especially the last few days of "record setting
temperatures "in northern Calif.! Your ride sounded beautiful.

And -- CONGRATULATIONS to you and CC for your up-coming Karahty baby. I
have had several and was NEVER disappointed. And you're correct--Dolly
DeCair is a responsible and honest person to deal with, and your mare is
treated like"one of her own" when it is at her home.(I have stayed with
her and she's always up "checking on the girls" before I am, and I get
up fairly early! Your foal will be worth waiting for, and I am happy
your mare is "mending". ( Mine was bred because HER owner was still
mending, but I am very fond of this mare and cannot wait until
September!

After reading the notes on Karahty, I just had to share the happy news: CC
my anglo-arab endurance horse who was injured in the pasture last fall is
now safely in foal (after slipping the first time) to Karahty! She is also
recovering very nicely from her injuries and is enjoying her extended
vacation in sunny California.
Dolly has been super to work with and has been in constant communication
with me through the ups and downs of breeding a 13 year old maiden
mare.Hopefully, we will have a Karahty baby next summer.
We attended Rich Child's High Country Endurance Ride in Colorado last
weekend and the 30 mile LD was awesome. At one point in the second loop, we
reached 11,400 feet after a steady climb of 5 miles.
The trails were wonderful, well marked and full of wildlife and incredible
