Hi. I too have a mare when loaded into a stock trailer, backed out. All 4 
feet on the ground. She was tied with a bungee tie. It stretched all the way, 
then slowly came apart and snapped my mare in the chest. She was ok, just 
like being hit with a big rubber band. Myself and my friend were standing 
there just mesmerized by how long the thing stretched. We both had our mouths 
hung wide open and didn't want to get hit with the thing. And I also own a 
slant load stock trailer. I tie because I'm afraid one of these days, she'll 
try to turn around and get stuck. There's enough room to get stuck. Sorry 
this is late, but my computer was down and had 800 pcs. of mail to catch up
