Renegade & another 50?

Show of hands for Renegade? How's the best way to identify
other ridecampers? It would be nice to put faces behind
these internet addresses. I for one travel with my collie,
since there aren't many of those, we tend to stand out, so
if any of you see us, please come say hi.

Can't decide what to ride. 25 or 50. Since we just did a 50
at Klickitat, that's only 2 weeks between rides. The flat,
curvy terrain there worked totally different muscle groups.
I've ridden a 25 at Renegade a couple years ago, so I know
it's alot of hills and higher elevation. Donte is doing
great, finished Klickitat with A's and 2 B+'s (Jug refill
and cap refill I think) he didn't seem to stock up at all
the next few days. He is in excellent shape, recovers well
and eats and drinks on the trail pretty well. He is moving
a bit slow yest. and today, (so am I) but he also seems
depressed that Classy is not there (still in Hood River
with Dr. Foss - comes home today BTW) So, do we go back
down to a 25 and risk Donte thinking after 25 he gets to
quit again, or do we do a slow easy 50 and be at the end of
the pack, taking all the time there is? What to do, what to
do? I guess a couple of small rides this weekend may tell
me what I need to know, but it is a big decision, I want to
do what is best for him. I feel like another 50 (easy one)
may help teach him to pace himself and to realize he can't
just go fast and be done.

Heidi (in a small but managable dilemma)
