From the old TB... Try "dead things".

Bicycles whizzing by in groups of 500 are OK, but not one
sitting by the side of the road trying to fix a flat.  "Look
Mom!  He's killed that one!"

Mailboxes taken out by a fast moving baseball bat.

"Rocks that say things"... when regular rocks fail to get
a spook response, try one with a plaque.

Of course a group of rowdy teens driving too fast in a pickup
truck throwing beer bottles at us was OK.

From the Arab point of view, left over flat ballons on ribbons
tied to trees and fences flopping in the breeze wasn't worth
an extra glance, but he's got the "whys?"

Why do those geese make that funny noise?
Why are there lines down the middle of this road?
Why are there flowers over there?
Why is that tree swing still there?
...
