Welllll!  As usual IT ALL DSEPENDS!!! Here in Idaho I have eight horses on
120 acres of foothills and am starting to supplement with hay as the "grass"
is done with until the fall.

As an example, some places can raise cows at the rate of five head per acre
and some places can raise cows at 100 acres per head.

As I started out IT ALL DEPENDS

It is 2 acres per horse for most areas.
