carriage driving/speedometers

I also subscribe to a carriage driving list. We have had many discussions on
speedometers on carriages and carts. If anyone is interested in reading
more about how to install them, you can go to this site:

http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/scripts/wa.exe?S1=cd-l

and do a search for: speedometer

As far as distance driving, if you are in Vermont, you are lucky. John
Greenall is in Vermont and could give you more information about the drives
in that area. Currently there are no Endurance Race type drives. Many
different organizations have been doing distance drives, competitive drives,
performance test drives etc. Some are in conjunction with different distance
rides, and some are just a drives. But, none are "races". If you would like
any other info on carriage driving, combined driving events, distance
driving etc. feel free to e-mail me direct. It is a ton of fun!
