Spooky Stuff

Hi, I have a question. I've been working on my horse
getting him used to "spooky" stuff. Ropes and plastic bags
mostly. What would be the next step? He is very trusting
actually (of me anyway), but I'd like to expose him to
things. Oh, we had dog 101 the other day too. A Rott at
my boarding barn got loose and started chasing us (not
meanly, he was happy to see people!) Dixie stopped and
stared at the dog, I said lets move, Dix said "Okay". No
spooking, a brief tensing, then curiosity. We did get to
see a pig too. That required putting his nose to the
ground and following it :) Still no access to cows though!
Traffic isn't a problem 99% of the time. The big problem
we have is his preference to RACE the little 4 wheeled
ATVs. The place I got him from used that to herd them in
for feeding time. Any suggestions? Or should I move on to
the next subject? I use these little sessions as breaks
from the riding, let us both rest. Our next big hurdle is,
well, objects in the road -- the type you have to hop over,
not go around. I haven't even started on that, think
that's next?

Thanks!

Hope & Dixie (Hmmm ... is that bag edible?)
