Re: Preventing scratches



Hold It!

Clipping is questionable as I have seen horses with horrible sunburn/solar
reactions.  Especially on white legs.  I use Desitin and then wipe it off
with a clean towel at each vet check and reapply.  It keeps the skin supple
and clean.  Sometimes too much washing ( and scrubbing) can irritate and
dry out the skin worse.
