Anadel Park is a State Park in Santa Rosa.  It was a cattle ranch with lots 
of fire roads and a few lakes.  It is a very popular park for riders as well 
as hikers, bikers, birdwatchers, etc.  

A few years ago, someone got a hairbrained idea that those fire roads weren't 
really necessary, or conducive to hiking, so they tore them up and norrowed 
them to single track trails.  These trails are now very curvy with large 
boulders forcing the curves.  On paper (and computer screen) it sounds great, 
and they are pretty to look at, but not very functional when they are shared 
by hikers, bikers and horses.  There is NO place to pass with out someone 
having to stop and pull off the trail.

The park doesn't seem to understand this, and if we don't do something, they 
will take out the remaining fireroads, and some of the main arteries will not 
even be replaced with single track, but simply "decommisioned."  To those of 
us who train on these trails, it looks like the park is telling us they don't 
want us there.

Unfortunately, this meeting will be during XP, when many riders will be gone. 
 Attendance is very important, try to make it if you can!
