I find that I use a set of 3/4 laced reins for the snaffle
... the major set :) I use the 1/2 flat reins for the curb
... little reins, little pressure concept again. The
pelham I have is the mullen mouth, and it works great even
for my "Gas Happy" Walker. He's actually starting to
collect and soften and relax! It would be too much bit
though for a friend's QH/Arab mix ... very responsive in a
simple snaffle (a true snaffle, one break, no shanks).
