saddle and stirrups



consider stirrup length and position.
also, if you are bunching your shoulders up, tighness throughout your back,
you may experience back pain and neck aches.  When you have the reins,
consider dropping your shoulders, sort of pushing down with them to get your
upper body to relax.
I have found the stirrup position a significant contributor to back comfort.
