Poison Oak Summary

I compiled a summary of the advice I got on Poison Oak. I went to the
doctor and got Prednisone tablets, which provided overnight relief.

I intend to try the homeopathic preventatives, because several folks
with extremely severe sensitivities have had much success, and got a 4
oz. bottle on Tecnu to take riding with me and I lost on the trail at
Castle Rock.

 Prevention:

   * Ivy Away  and Allon brand homeopathic remedies
   * poison ivy/oak barrier lotion
   * cleanse with Ivory, Fels Naphtha or Tecnu
   * HC Dermapax, by RECSEI Laboratories, Goleta, CA

 Itch relief:

   * Cala-Gel
   * Benadryl 
   * Zinc Oxide
   * Cortisone 10 cream 
   * Rhulagel

 Heavy meds:

   * Prednisone works!!
   * cortisone in pill form
