Cougar Ticks!

Paul says to tell y'all that riding drag eliminates all the tick
problems, as the riders ahead have all had the blood sucked out of their
bodies by those nasty beasties by the time the last rider gets there!
(By the way the Cougar Tick is a distant relative of the Ursus
Horribilis [Bear] Tick, which has been known to charge when wounded.  So
be very, very careful about pulling out ticks and leaving the heads in].

He also points out that drag riders don't have to worry about all the
rattlesnakes, which have already been squished, aggravated into using up
their venom, or just plain irritated into leaving the scene by the time
Paul rides by.  Lif
