Actually, it appears that Susan DOES advocate rolled corn.  As to the oats--I
know it used to be kind of standard to feed whole oats (maybe because it can
get dusty when rolled if not done right?), but one consideration here is
EPM--steam rolling will eliminate the organism that causes it, so the folks in
the know on that problem now recommend that ALL grains be heat processed in
some way, the most common of which is steam rolling.
