Lynnette,

You must be very knowledgeable or lucky when it comes to training green 
horses.
Not everyone is as lucky or knowledgeable as you seem to be.  There are 
some green horses that people might ride that in their case need the "quick 
fix gimmicks" to ride their horses at this point in their training. 
Training takes time and some horses/riders may not learn as quick as you 
and yours.   Not everyone is as experienced as you might be.  Some people 
may have to work out these "problems" with their mounts and in the process 
may need these gimmicks to do so.  Each person and horse is an individual. 
 What might work for one may not work for another.  It is a learning 
process and takes time for some horses and people to reach that mutual 
point of  collection and responsiveness.
