Put out enough grass hay in the morning to last till evening. The good
thing about grass hay is they don't eat it down fast like alfalfa/candy.
It may be because of their being arabs too. I've noticed every arab I've
owned will eat their hay, walk away nap, come back eat some more hay, nap,
etc... But then the quarters I've had here will eat until its all gone.
So maybe I'm just lucky too???? I imagine if you put out a huge round
bale though any horse would soon learn that they don't have to eat till its
gone, and turn back into grazing animals soon enough.
