I have lived here 25 years and have seen my fair share of scorpions but
haven't been stung. Several family members have and it amounted to vomiting,
that's all. Not as bad as black widow bite. Scorpions eat crickets and are
most active at night. Never heard of horse being stung either. The
rattlesnakes are not aggressive and when they get too close to the house or
barn area I move them with snake stick. Have only moved one from barn area
in 10 years. I would rather know there are rattlesnakes out there than live
with the pack rats chewing up all my plants.
