Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbant Assay = ELISA

Yes, you need to know what you are looking for. What is done is the blood or
urine sample is processed and then 'stuck' to the bottom of the little wells
in the ELISA plate. Then an antibody specific for one drug by-product is
added, then a second antibody is attached to the first antibody (which is
only there if the drug by product is there as the plate is washed between
steps). The second antibody also has a dye attached to it. This dye is then
reacted and the plate is read by a machine which determines the
concentration of the specific drug by-product by the intensity of the color
(dye).
