I spray all my clothing (even my lycra tights) liberally with Deep Woods
Off! and on exposed skin (except my face) I use the Skintastic
sunscreen/inset repellant combo cream. If I'm going to be out working in
the woods (clearing trail) I use the Skintastic cream under my clothing as
well. Works great for me. Even deer flies won't land on the sprayed
clothing -- but if I miss one little spot, I'll get 6 bites there. If I
miss a strip from spraying in long sweeps, I'll get a row of bites. That
Skintastic cream is obnoxious enough to keep your dog away even. :)

I haven't had a pair of tights disintegrate yet -- but maybe I get tired
of them too quickly to find out. <BG> Actually, I have a pair of Kerrits
tights that are now beginning their 3rd summer of being sprayed with Off!
at least 3 times a week and they still look great.
