Looking for a horse

My horse had to be put down in February. This is the first time I have been
horseless in 27 years and I am going nuts, as riding has always been my
mental therapy and this has not been a good winter/spring for me...anyway, my
friend and I are planning a trip to California and the Tevis Cup this summer,
and I would like to take that opportunity to look for a new horse as we go.
We are leaving from the Denver area.

What I am looking for can be summed up in four words: Sound, sane, smooth
and short! I am an endurance rider as opposed to an endurance racer, and
just want a well-trained partner to enjoy the trail with. If I ever
top-tenned it would have to be a very small ride! I am thinking a horse age
6-10, preferably a gelding but would consider a mare, under 15 hands, good
conformation, color not an issue. Could be purebred or part-Arab, in good
enough condition to do 25's right now or hopefully even ready for 50's. My
price range is flexible, but I am not rich!

This horse would have a great home in the foothills of the Rockies with 3
acres of private pasture surrounded by other horses, llamas and cattle, with
a stall and other shelter always available.

If you think you have a horse that might work for me, please e-mail me
privately with detail and pictures if possible.

Thanks, Teri
