I think they are a good idea, too.  But one word of caution:
if you are short and your Webbers long, then you might have
to fasten the nail-through-the-hole that adjusts stirrup
length so high that it hits you in the shin.  The worst galling
I ever got from a stirrup leather was from a Webber nail.  It's
been over a year and I can still see the discoloration under the
skin.

Do Webbers come in more than one size?
