Fixing Orthoflex buckles

>The most annoying thing I have ever found are those buckles and

I LOVE THEM. I love being able to move my stirrups a fraction of an
inch...HOWEVER, I have mine rigged very differently than anyone else I
know. I thought I did it because my legs are so short, but if Truman's
bothered him, that wasn't it.

O.K. I have the 2" biothanes rigged where when hanging flat on the
saddle, the buckel is on the side nearest the saddle, with the NOT SMOOTH
side turned towards my leg. The tongue is pointed down. I adjust it so
that it rides below my knee and above my calf. I took the leather
sleeves off, (after I wore through them, they didn't bother me, just
didn't help). They're fine like this for training rides, but I duct tape
the buckel in place in competition to keep it from working its way up. I
always ride with half chaps or the biothan pinches, but I LOVE this set
up and wouldn't use anything else.
