Scotts Flat 50

What a great ride despite problems I've heard this ride has had years past.
The weather was so nice and warm, the trail was marked VERY well, however I
could tell how easy it would be to get lost if markers were pulled. I
really enjoyed the camp area and all the tall redwoods as well as the trail.
This was not an easy ride which made the trip well worth it. Derby Ditch
being my last ride I found myself relishing in the warmth and even when I
was too warm I still hesitated on taking my sweatshirt off because I was so
greatful for the warm climate. Anyway, this was a nice ride and I love my
(navajo?) blanket award its so pretty and its not a MUG (eventhough the mugs
are nice too)!!! I will definately do this one again! Oh by the way, for
all of those riders who were competing in the 30 or 50 I just want to
mention something I noticed. When I was vetting in the night before it
occured to me as I looked around for familiar faces or trucks that All of
the horses and Mules (little buckaroo is so cute) looked very healthy and
weren't underweight. These horses were happy and strong and appeared to be
in great athletic shape. Then my girlfriend says to me "its the beginning
of the season, give it a few months" and we laughed. Thanks for a great
time.

P.S. Thanks to the volunteers who WALKED UP TO ME and asked me at more
than one vet check if I wanted something to drink with a smile on there
face. I haven't had that kind of treatment since Tevis!
