Not your usual white hairs on the back

I haven't heard of this problem here, so I'm thinking it's unusual.
Please tell
me what's going on. My horse has white hairs on her back. Not so unusual
you
say. Well these are not spots oe even areas of white hairs. This is a
sprinkling
of white hairs along her spine and down a bit . Very light - I even
thought it must be from using
the pad on my white Arab. No - the hairs ARE growing out of HER back.
They pull
out fairly easily. Her back is NOT sore. Her saddle does move around a
bit - it's
a Sport saddle and I ride with a very loose cinch. I'm in southern CA and
it hasn't
been that hot here yet. She's pretty much all shed out though.

 Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Kris
