Best Condition criteria



After reading all this squabbling about weight being an issue for best
conditioned, I've been wondering if someone could let me know what actual
data is used to judge it.  Here in Australia, ride time and recovery
heartrates etc have just as much bearing on the outcome, probably more so
than weight.  Sometimes it's not always the horse that looks the best to
the spectators that wins as it may not have recovered as well
metabolically.
