I've been reading these posts with interest, and have come close to
responding several times. Now I just have to!! I had a great chuckle over
Bob Morris' post. Now for my 2 cents worth: I have three adult daughters
and I don't think I've ever had a miscarriage. My doctor at the time told
me, "If God wanted you to ride a horse, He would have built one in". I
interpreted that to mean He would have made the horse an integal part of my
body. I was a dutiful patient and did what he said, which was NO riding.
Now I have never been enthralled with the procedure, only with the results.
I always figured a woman had to go through pregnancy in order to enjoy having
the children resultant. (Exception: adoption). I've known women who just
"LOVED being pregnant". No thank you! Why would a man envy 6 months of
morning sickness and 3 months of lumbering around like a hippopotamus with a
stomach ache? If THEY had to bear the children, I'll bet the overpopulation
of the world would cease to be a problem.

Anyway, I would concur with the posts that recommend staying off of horses
until after the birth. For the same reason we wear helmets .... accidents
can happen at any time to anyone, even on the safest horses.
