A few yrs ago I read a biography of Robert E Lee.  After the war he became 
president of a small college in the Shenendoah Valley of Va. and brought 
Traveller with him..  One day while riding Traveller thru town, Lee met an 
attractive yound lady & stopped to chat.  Lee must have been in his late 60's 
by now, but still enjoyed a subtle flirt as he was observed gently spurring 
Traveller so the horse would prance & dance in front of the young lady.
