TRAILERING PRECAUTIONS
I have been asked to pick up a woman and
her horse for a ride to a competion on April
24. We have not met either of them. She says
her horse loads readily.
I have a large two-horse TB size tag along with
center divider. There was a divider to keep their
heads separated, but I removed it. My gelding gets
along well with other horses.
Dare I just load her horse along side mine, or should
I unload him and let them get acquainted first? He
has been trailered with other horses that he has not
met before without a problem.
My inclination is to just load her horse and wait 10
minutes or so before taking off. We have plenty of
time.
