If you have the round metal type of connector it is the same as semi's use.
Truck stops and auto stores sell plastic handled metal brushes with one end
set to clean all the holes in the plug at one time, the other to clean the
socket on the truck.  They work great.
If you have the flat plastic kind, replace them.
