one thing to note as well on this virus is that you have
to have a copy of microsoft word 97 or 2000 on your machine
for it to work.  word 95 does not cause the problem.  if
you have none of these - you don't have a problem.

and i also believe that you have to be using microsoft
outlook as your mail program as well for the virus to work.
netscape, eudora, etc should be fine.

and lastly  -- for those of us that are later in the 
alphabet - we get an added degree of protection.  the 
virus only selects the first 50 in the outlook address book
so that all those poor a-l people get sent the virus... |-)
