Unlike you, I say precisely what I mean to say. These horses were fed no hay.
However, there is roughage in grain, of course. A lot of it. Again, I would
like to read the paper(s) that cite a high grain diet, in and of itself, as a
cause of colic. A gigantic single feeding of grain is another thing--but a
steady incrementally fed diet of grain, properly balanced with vitamins and
minerals, has never been demonstrated to cause colic in a healthy horse that I
know of. 

Rather than volumes of spray and pray spewage, a simple summary quote and
author/publication/date will convince me.
