Pad & girth for new saddle

I have just ordered a DeSoto saddle and would appreciate advice about the
type of saddle pad and girth to get for it, from experienced DeSoto riders.

I have ridden the last 10 years in a Traditional Ortho-Flex; so I used
Booties and a non-elastic neoprene girth with oddly angled buckles.
Neither can I use on the new saddle!

I'd like a Wool saddle pad; Marilyn offers several varieties, or what about
other makes that fit? Do you like her Elastic girth? I,like someone else
recently, would be interested in a short (24") Mohair cinch.

My only ride in a week has been bareback, breaking a path from the barn to
the pasture thru 4' hard packed drifts! Excellent aerobic exersize for
Maxwell, tricky for me to keep my feet up and still hang as he bounded. He
stopped several times to 'catch his breath'! This is Spring in Canada.
