Lauren, How are your horse's legs holding up after the 50's? Are you getting any fill or heat? If his legs look like they are coming thru clean, & if you've done your homework & been getting the horse out 40-50 miles a week for the last yr (of course, you have a few low mileage weeks in there due to blizzards, family emergencies, etc), I'd try an easy multi-day at a slow pace. Just keep an eye on the legs as the tendons & ligaments take longer to get fit & are most at risk, IMHO! (You might want to be prepared with some mud poultice or ice wraps to wrap his legs after the ride as a precaution, but then you won't be able to see how his legs come thru.) Enjoy your ride!
