Rain in England

Hi Michelle

Oh can I sympathise with you and the rain thing! Here in England we've had
rain, rain, rain for months.

Last summer was ruined by rain. I got flu three times and only managed to do
one endurance ride in sunshine last year! So here we are in 1999 and it's
still bloody well raining! My mare has just gone down with a touch of mud
fever which is only very slight but she got it being ridden out - I don't turn
this one out because she goes crazy outside in the winter because of the rain.

I've just come in from riding both my horses in the rain. I did a 2 hour ride
on the horse I'm competeing at the moment - we both got completely soaked.
Then I had to ride the other one for an hour and got even more completely
soaked. I have two riding coats and both are now sopping wet.

One of my horses, an Anglo-Arab, used to hate walking through water, now
she'll walk through anything - just so long as she doesn't have to stand in it
for hours on end. This really makes her mad.

What was that round yellow thing you were talking about?

My first endurance ride next weekend. Bet it rains.

Bye

Annette
Spot (alias the hippo - loves that rain, loves that mud)
Kitty (alias the wimp - I'll go through it if I have to but give me a nice
warm stable any day)
