Meant to speak up on this topic earlier...

I've almost always used plastic jugs for such things in clinical practice.
They work great, and can be "remodeled" to fit just about any circumstance,
and easily replaced if torn, broken, or not initially made right.

Another hint:  don't use Panalog, please, or any other product with steroids,
unless there is a reason to do so.  They slow down tissue growth, and suppress
immune response, both the opposite of what you want in this case.  They are
great products for things like infected ears that also have an allergic
component that must be suppressed, but not so hot for plain injuries.

Actually, you might try a mild drying agent, like powdered alum, just to get
control of the slimy mess, to get it to scab over and start healing.
