Re: Oat hay

We use oat hay, sometimes in winter.  Two of my 4 love it.  Two are so picky I have to hand feed them but it's good fiber source and I've checked nutritional values so it's higher than our Florida grass hays.

If you've got good sources, use it and mix it and you can't go wrong.

Subject: Oat hay

At a ride last weekend, a friend's horse was not eating at the third
check. Another friend gave her some oat hay to try. The horse dove right
in. What is the general opinion on feeding oat hay as opposed to other
hays. I have access to quite a bit of it if it's worth the trouble.
Thanks in advance for the help.
