Re: Portable corrals

Truman,
We often end up in places with no shade or are out in inclement weather so we had a local
manufacturer (Jerryjoejimbob in his garage) make us one of those portable tent like thingys
out of thin wall electrical conduit. We added an extra rail about 4' up (adjustable)and put
insulators for two electric strands all around. It works great. It's 10' X 20' and big
enough for two horses. It will also set up as a 10' X 10' for one horse with the other
tarp. It goes up in 15 minutes flat with two people, 25 minutes with one. It can also be
fitted for sides to keep out sun, rain, snow, or wind. It packs into a 6" X 11' pvc pipe
hanging on the horse trailer and a 20" x 20" X 3' Plastic container. It was the best $350
we ever spent.
One of the nicest things is that we can saddle up dry even when it is raining. We often
butt it up against the back of the trailer. The opening can be put anywhere on any side.
