Can anyone tell me about checking a horses back for soreness.  Right ways, wrong ways, how to tell if back is sore through stride?  How about riding up hill and down hill for heavyweight rider.  When to get off and walk?  Anytime horse is walking should heavyweight be off and walking?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
