Corn question

Linda and I spoke of this subject earlier in the week and another question
she had was to what extent would a corn make your horse trip??? My opinion
is from my experience this past month with the shoeing problems I've had
with my farrier. Blue NEVER tripped until I switched shoers, when the new
shoer shod him last monday we found a corn on the foot he kept tripping on.
The fact that we saw it we figured it being about 45 days old. So Blue
started tripping right off the first day after the BAD shoer shod him and
got worse and worse till I felt like I was holding him up and only with
that corn foot. So did the corn make him trip worse or did the bad shoeing
just progress? With my new shoer he hasn't tripped a single time AND I can
roll a quarter on the back sides of his shoes back by his heel. Sounds
like I got the right shoer. He also moved Blue up a shoe size, he was
wearing 1's and needed 2's, also the shoe comes out past the bar/heel area
so that he isn't undershod anymore.
